Every Order Placed Sends A Cup of Coffee to Deployed Troops

World Origins: Abakundakawa Cooperative - Rwanda

Our World Origins line of coffees are for those coffee lovers who are ready to take the next step beyond our delicious coffee blends to try something unique and amazing.

Are you ready to explore the "terroir" - that characteristic flavor imparted on coffee beans by the unique climate, soil, and topography - of some of the worlds great coffee growing regions?

Out of Africa comes this tasty coffee from Rwanda that is creating buzz in the specialty coffee community. Our beans come from a co-op at the Abakundakawa farm, which is producing highly regarded premium coffee. A quarter of their team is women (extremely rare for an African coffee). These women have survived tremendous adversity from the '94 genocide.

A light roast, this coffee has a wonderful balanced flavor, with light notes of plum and grape but does not come across as sweet.  Excellent finish and mouth feel. We have really enjoyed this coffee and can't say enough about how good it is.  We highly recommend it as a must-taste alternative to your normal coffee.

This is a single origin bean with a unique taste you will enjoy in a variety of ways but our favorites are as a pour over or French Press. Also works very well as a nice, bright tasting espresso.
