This certified organically grown bean comes from the Chacon Estate in the Las Lajas central valley of Costa Rica. They are one of our favorite coffee producers - innovative while honoring tradition, focused on repeatable quality without sacrificing craftsmanship, and laser focused on growing great coffee.
Organic coffee is less common in Costa Rica but this third generation farmer insists on it. Its amazing taste is a result of the rich soil of the nearby Paos Volcano and dedicated growers who are meticulous to maximize quality and taste through best practice harvesting and processing. The honey process they use for dappling the coffee cherries uses less water and ensures the sweet taste of this amazing coffee.
