Alpha Coffee was founded out of service, and our desire to give back continues as a large part of our mission. We believe in compassionate capitalism, where people and profits are not mutually exclusive. As such, over 10% of our profits are donated to nonprofits supporting our veterans, planet, and community through our Grounds for Good program and our continued Coffee for Troops program.
We chose to focus on our three tenants of our veterans, planet, and community because that is who we are. The outdoors is not just our adventure playground; it’s our home. Challenging ourselves in nature is part of our psyche. As such, we choose three organizations each quarter on which to focus our giveback efforts. Our chosen giving partners, either individually or collectively, work to support our veterans, planet, and community. In addition, we support the featured nonprofits throughout the year and look forward to highlighting each of them.
The mission of the Pat Tillman Foundation is to unite and empower remarkable military service members, veterans, and spouses as the next generation of public and private sector leaders committed to service beyond self. Tillman Scholars continue to make an impact, solving problems and discovering solutions that ripple outwards on a local and global scale.
The Nature Conservancy’s mission is conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends. Every acre they protect and every river mile they restore begins with support from donors, helping them take on the dual threats of climate change and biodiversity loss across 70+ countries and territories.
