We are a veteran and woman co-owned coffee company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, dedicated to delivering an exceptional coffee experience rooted in quality, service, and purpose.

Alpha Coffee was founded on September 11, 2010, by LTC(R) Carl Churchill, a combat veteran with 21 years of military service as both an enlisted soldier and officer, and Lori Churchill, a military spouse and lifelong coffee lover.

We originally began as Lock-N-Load Java, with Carl and Lori (and their two children) packing coffee in their basement and selling exclusively online. In 2016, we rebranded as Alpha Coffee and expanded our reach through online sales and retail partners. In 2017, we opened our first coffee shop at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, just a few blocks from where is all began.

Today, we have two coffee shop locations in the Salt Lake City area and serve customers across all 50 states, as well as military members deployed or stationed overseas.
