Our World Origins line of coffees are for those coffee lovers who are ready to take the next step beyond our delicious coffee blends to try something unique and amazing.
Are you ready to explore the "terroir" - that characteristic flavor imparted on coffee beans by the unique climate, soil, and topography - of some of the worlds great coffee growing regions?
This great Guatemalan is grown in the rugged and remote highland areas of Western Guatemala above 5,000 feet. The 150 families of the Rio Azul Cooperative in the Huehuetenango region work hard to ensure a consistently outstanding product highlighting the Caturra and Typica varieties this region is known for.
This is certified Fair Trade Coffee ensuring the 200 plus members of the cooperative reap the rewards of their hard work. We are happy to pay top dollar for these beans that are nourished by rich soil and warm winds from the vast Tehuantepec Plains in Mexico - because these beans live up to the excellence of their Mayan heritage.
This is a single origin bean with a unique taste that is excellent in any brewing format.
A medium roast, this coffee has a slight citrus aroma, but with rich flavors of cocoa and a faint dried mango sweetness. Full bodied but not overly robust or bitter. The finish is gentle and pleasing with a smooth lingering aftertaste. If you love Central American coffees as much as we do, this will become one of your favorites.
